The Wichita Open works with local charities through partnerships that take place during our event. This year, those partnerships resulted in donations of over $20,000 to three different organizations.
The Wichita South Football Team assisted the tournament in set-up and tear-down in addition to working at the Coors Light Corner during tournament play. Key Construction and Marketplace Properties partnered with the Wichita Open with a donation that will be used for tutoring throughout the school year.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) provides volunteer advocates to children placed in temporary foster care due to abuse or neglect. Each volunteer advocate is thoroughly screened and specially trained to be a powerful voice for the children’s best interests. CASA volunteers ran tournament shuttles in a partnership with Bombardier Learjet and received tips/donations during the event.
The Wichita YMCA and Downs Syndrome Society of Wichita partners with the tournament in parking, admissions and security areas and uses their proceeds to benefit various YMCA and Downs Syndrome programs.
