PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The Air Capital Classic Supporting Wichita’s Youth, conducted annually at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kan., was awarded with the Web.com Tour’s “Outstanding Achievement Award” at the PGA TOUR’s Tournament Meetings on Thursday, December 7 in Boca Raton, Fla.
“We are honored to present the Air Capital Classic Supporting Wichita’s Youth with this year’s Outstanding Achievement Award,” said Web.com Tour President Dan Glod. “After more than two decades as one of the strongest events on our schedule, the Air Capital Classic continues to grow each year, the tournament team excelled across all fronts in delivering their best tournament to date and making a significant impact in the Wichita community.”
The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes the tournament which developed and implemented a new promotion or activity with measurable results, driving sales, attendance and media coverage. The Air Capital Classic succeeded on all three fronts via the following achievements:

The tournament is supported by generous contributions of time and funds from Air Capital Classic Ambassadors. This unique Ambassador Program was established as a means for community and business leaders to assist in diversifying the sponsorship base and solidifying the future of the Air Capital Classic. This program provides the capital foundation for the tournament which generates nearly $200,000 in revenue for local charities has a $6.5 million economic impact.
The 2018 Air Capital Classic Supporting Wichita’s Youth will again be played at Crestview Country Club the week of June 18-24.
Wichita, Kan. – Forty-five Wichita Alums are among the 50 players who received their PGA TOUR cards via a combination of regular season and Tour Finals competition which concluded today at the Web.Com Tour Championship in Atlantic Beach, FL.
Schedule highlighted by 27 events, increased prize money, four-event start and new Finals order.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The PGA TOUR today announced the 2018 Web.com Tour schedule, which features 27 tournaments played in 18 states and four countries outside the United States, and culminates with the four-event Web.com Tour Finals in August and September. The 27 events mark the most on the Web.com Tour calendar since 2012, with the $18.3 million in total prize money representing the most since the Tour’s 2010 season.
Wichita, Kan -- The Air Capital Classic works with local charities through partnerships that take place during our event. This year, those partnerships resulted in donations of over $15,000 for three different organizations.
Wichita, Kan - 25 players have received their PGA TOUR cards via the 2017 Web.com Tour including 23 Wichita alums.
