Wichita, Kan. – Scott Parel fired a 64 in the final round going birdie-eagle-birdie on holes 13-15 Sunday afternoon at
Crestview Country Club. Parel’s seven-under par round moved him to 18-under 266, good enough for a three stroke
win over Alex Aragon at the Air Capital Classic.
Alex Prugh finished in third alone at 271 while Camilo Benedetti, Franklin Corpening and Steve Wheatcroft finished
in a tie for fourth, six shots off the pace.
Parel’s win comes in his 171st event on the Web.com Tour earning him a check for $117,000 moving him from 153 to 14 on the Tour money list.
WICHITA, KS – Golfers from the Air Capital Classic will be at two Dillons locations on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for meet and greet opportunities. The two locations will be the Andover Dillons at Andover Road and Kellogg (US-54) and Dillons at Central and Rock. Pepsi will be sponsoring the event on Tuesday evening at both locations.
The players are Rob Oppenheim from Orlando, FL, Philip Pettitt Jr. from Murfreesboro, TN, Hudson Swafford from Tallahassee FL and Will Wilcox from Birmingham, Alabama. All are current players on the Web.com tour and have had top 10 finishes within the last year including Swafford finishing last year’s Wichita tournament T4.

WICHITA, Kan. – The Masters Championship will take place this weekend, from April 11-14 at the Augusta National Golf Club. The Air Capital Classic is proud to recognize past participants who will be competing at this year’s Championship.
Notable participants of both tournaments include: Bubba Watson, who competed at the Air Capital Classic tournament in 2004 and 2005 and won the Masters Championship last year, Zach Johnson (’00, ’03), Matt Kuchar (’06) , Brandt Snedeker (’06), Jason Dufner (2001-’03, ’05-’06), and Scott Piercy who won the Air Capital Classic in 2008.
Wichita's long-running Web.com Tour event will have a new name in 2013: the Air Capital Classic; and with it a new identity.
A new 501(c)(3) has been formed to lead and operate the tournament, in concert with the PGA TOUR. Air Capital Charities, Inc. will be the new organization that will operate the "official event of the PGA TOUR" in Wichita and continue to generate funds for local charities. In 2012, $200,000 was donated to local charities.
