Credit Union of America, in conjunction with the Air Capital Classic presented by AETNA, recently held its eighth annual Children's Miracle Network Classic golf tournament to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health.

news acc-cmn-2014This year’s event, held June 12 at Crestview Country Club, raised $31,050 to help local kids and their families.

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health serves more than 46,000 children in more than 64 counties throughout south central and western Kansas. CMN provides direct medical assistance to cover needs not covered by insurance to children regardless of their illness, injury or financial status. Examples of service include assisting with medical equipment, travel assistance, lodging, therapies, and more.

The Air Capital Classic presented by Aetna would like to make the media aware it is announcing a change in dates in 2015 from those originally announced several weeks ago, via the following statement:

"The PGA TOUR and Air Capital Classic presented by Aetna have enjoyed a great partnership for the past 25 years and in the spirit of good partnership we have agreed to move our 2015 tournament dates from June 8 - 14 to June 22 - 28 at the request of the PGA TOUR. After carefully considering everything internally and with our various partners, and knowing we were far enough out from our 2015 date, we were able to accommodate the TOUR's request and are happy to help them."

The top four money-winners going into the Web.com Tour’s season-ending championship this week on its TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Course are 2014 Air Capital Classic alums. The Web.com Tour Championship will identify the second set of 25 PGA TOUR card earners for 2014-15. They will join 25 others who secured their TOUR cards over the course of 21 Regular Season events.

WICHITA, Kan. – The Air Capital Classic counted a 17% increase in attendance at this year’s tournament, which celebrated its 25th year in Wichita as part of the Web.com Tour.  The Air Capital Classic was also able to donate nearly $140,000 to local charities.

The 2015 event returns to its home at Crestview Country Club, June 8th through the 14th.

"We congratulate Wichita and the Air Capital Classic on a wonderful 25th-year event and celebration this past June," said Web.com Tour president, Bill Calfee. "The Air Capital Classic has made great contributions to the Web.com Tour over the last quarter century and we know they are poised to keep building on their success and community impact. Everyone associated with the Tour looks forward to coming back year after year."

PORTLAND, ORE. – The first 25 of 50 available PGA TOUR membership cards for the 2014-15 season were secured at the Web.com Tour’s final Regular Season event, the WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft.

An additional 25 cards will be on the line at the four-event Web.com Tour Finals, which begin Thursday with the Hotel Fitness Championship in Fort Wayne, Ind. These 25 cards will be based on money earned in the Finals.
