The Course.

Crestview Country Club, a Concert Golf Partners property, is the current home of the Wichita Open.  Founded in 1921, Crestview is the only 36-hole country club in state of Kansas and features two dramatic parkland style; mature tree-lined, 18-Hole Robert Trent Jones designed golf courses.

The Wichita Open will be played on the North Course, which carries a slope of 131 and a 74.3 course rating from the black tees. This course, measuring 6,913 yards, is a very good test. If the wind blows, watch out! All of the three pars, which average over 200 yards, play directly into the predominant south wind. Water comes into play on 11 of the 18 holes.

Tee shot landing area is guarded right and left by fairway bunkers. Second shot is to an elevated green that is heavily bunkered.
Tee shot should be laid up short of the creek. Players trying to reach this green in two must carry the fairway bunkers guarding the approach to this green.
Player may choose to lay up short of the lake with an iron, leaving a full shot to the green with a short iron or hit driver to a very narrow area which would leave them with a short pitch. The fairway is guarded on the right out of bounds.
Fairway bunker to the right with water to the left. Tee shot needs to be a little right to left to find the fairway. Ideal tee shot would be short of the fairway bunker.
Very small green. Well-bunkered with water in front of and left of the green. Normally played into a prevailing wind.
Must drive in fairway. A good tee shot will leave middle to long iron for second shot.
No let up here. Requires a tee shot over water to fairway guarded by out of bounds right and water left. Second shot is again over water to a narrow, long green. Par is a very good score!
Another long hole into a prevailing wind. Definitely use a long iron, maybe a wood. Large green that is well bunkered on the right, with water to the left.
This hole plays a little longer than the yardage implies. Slight dogleg to the left and a little uphill. Very important that you get your approach shot on the right level of the green. A ridge runs through the green from left to right.
Dogleg to the right. A good tee shot can carry the bunker on the right, but can easily run through the fairway. A good drive should leave a short iron onto the green.
Very short, normally down wind and quite narrow. If the pin is to the right, it is difficult to get the ball close.
As on the other par threes, a par is a good score. A large green protected by water in front and to the left. Bunker on the right takes away a bailout.
A good driving hole. Water is left of the fairway, but there is plenty of room in the driving area. Slight dogleg to the left with many trees. You can't always tell how much wind there is at the green.
If you can carry the bunkers on the left at the dogleg, you can probably reach the green on the second shot. If you miss it a little, you'll end up in a bunker. When in doubt, lay up short of the fairway bunkers before the green.
Usually down wind. A driver is not a good choice. If the bunker on the left is avoided, a short iron will reach the green. Your second shot if over water to a very uneven green. Putting can be tricky.
Dogleg to the left. You must avoid the fairway bunkers to set up a short iron onto the green. Large bunker in front and shallow green make club selection very important.
The last of the long par threes. A wide green is well-protected by bunkers. A ridge divides the green, making putting a premium.
Newly constructed tee box turns this previous par 5 into a long par 4. A good drive carrying the fairway bunker on the right will set up a medium iron shot to the green.
