Wichita, KS: Greater Wichita YMCA receives Air Capital Classic donation.

John Weber, Branch Director Robert D. Love Downtown YMCA and Ronn McMahon, CEO Greater Wichita YMCA receive a check from Roy Turner, Air Capital Classic Tournament Director for over $10,000. The Wichita YMCA provides admission, parking and security assistance throughout tournament week.

Wichita’s Extended Stay Collection and Ronald McDonald House combined efforts to sponsor and staff shuttles that transported Air Capital Classic guests this year. Tips and donations received from this joint venture benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita.

Wichita, KS: Splurge Night Beneficiary Receives $29,000

Splurge Night Board Members Mark Douglass, Douglass Wealth Management: Kevin Ulwelling, Midwest Single Source: Jody Klein and Wendell Funk, Splurge Magazine along with Roy Turner, Tournament Director, present a check for $29,000 to Main Place Youth in front of the van purchased with proceeds from this year's Splurge Night event.

Wichita, KS: Douglass Wealth Management is the latest Air Capital Classic Ambassador.

”Mark Douglass has been long-time supporter of our event. He started as a volunteer and his support has grown each year. He is an integral part of our Splurge Night event and also has been a sponsor for many years. “Tournament Director Roy said.

“I am excited to join the ranks of the Air Capital Ambassadors and to support a great event that has such as positive impact on our community.”

Mark’s company, Douglass Wealth Management, is a family wealth management office located at the Waterfront that provides specialized financial services for successful individuals and their families.

The Air Capital Classic Ambassador program encourages and provides a way for its members to get involved by:

  • Raising Charitable Donations for Local and National Organizations
  • Improving the Overall Quality and Success of the Event
  • Stabilizing the Tournament’s Future

The 2017 event will be held at its reigning home for the last 16 years—Crestview Country Club—from June 8th to June 18th, with competition rounds from the 15th to the 18th.

Fifty-seven former Air Capital Classic players are part of the 156 man 2016 PGA Championship field being played July 28th – July 31st at Baltusrol Golf Club at Springfield, NJ. The field includes four former Air Capital Classic champions (Jason Dufner, Scott Piercy, David Toms, Jhonattan Vegas) and Greg Chalmers who played in Wichita in 2016.
